What is the organisational procedure?
After getting in touch with us, we will send you a non-binding offer including detailed price information. The offer can still be developed and refined. Should this meet your requirements, we will send you a binding contract to sign. You will have one contact person from Host a Concert and we will take care of everything for you.
How much lead time do you need for the organisation?
We can organise your music event overnight. Everything is possible upon availability. Depending on the complexity of the music event, sufficient lead time would be an advantage.
How much space do I need at my place?
You can book a tailor-made concert which is designed according to your space conditions and possibilities. Whether a soloist or a duo plays for you and your closest friends, or a string quartet, octet or jazz band performs live music: we can fine tune everything, offering you your very own personal concert experience.
Can I organise a concert elsewhere?
We are happy to organise your desired concert at a special location. We have contacts to exclusive locations. Whether it is an old town villa, a former paper factory, the park of a castle or a remote “Maiensäss” (alpine hut) at the top of a mountain: we would be delighted to satisfy your requirements and offer you the suitable space for your concert in your area.
Do I need a piano?
You need a piano only if you want piano music. Otherwise, there is a large range of chamber music, where no piano is needed: a string quartet, for example, or a wind instrument accompanied by a harp or a guitar. You can also book a wind quintet, a string duo or a string orchestra. All these instruments are “mobile”, and are brought by the musicians.
What costs are to be expected?
The costs depend on your desire and your needs. A simple solo performance by a single musician in your locality for 15 minutes is possible from 400 CHF. The composition of the price varies considerably depending on the elaborateness of the programme, possible travel expenses, size of the ensemble, and complexity of the organisation as well as the reputation of the artists.
What additional costs will be incurred?
In principle, you pay for the musicians, the concept and the organisation. Should there be considerable additional expenses (chairs, catering, technical equipment for bands, location etc.), the costs will be transparently communicated and coordinated with you in the context of a non-binding offer.
How is the programme designed?
We will make suggestions according to your ideas. We will gladly design the programme and take over the entire organisation for you. We would be delighted to incorporate your wishes and coordinate them together with you.
How personally can the programme be designed?
The programme can be 100% tailor-made for you. We provide you with the live music that best suits you, your guests and your event.
How many seats do I need?
If you need additional chairs, we will be happy to supply you with them as well. If the concert is of short duration, the guests can also stand. If you do not want to have classic concert seating, you can use all seats at your place: the sofa, the Louis Philippe chair, the armchair, the garden lounger, the hammock, etc.
Can I book a complete package with catering included?
We maintain contacts with selected caterers meaning that the musical programme can be matched with culinary delicacies and Host a Concert offers you the whole organisation from a single source.
What do I have to consider?
It is best to contact us and tell us your wishes for your music event personally. In this way, we can advise you optimally and answer questions quickly. Soon you will be enjoying your own concert experience with your live music.
